The principal purpose of affiliation between AUSIT and government educational institutions is to forge closer links between the education sector and the profession, thus ensuring that education remains relevant and that professionals continue to advance their knowledge and skills.

Affiliation enables our Affiliates to communicate with our membership, attend our national and mini-conferences at a discount, access our mentoring program, and participate in our Best I&T Graduate competition; it also includes a free entry on our CPD register (in cases where professional development is offered) and other services AUSIT may provide.

AUSIT Research Grants

AUSIT is committed to quality of Translating and Interpreting. AUSIT encourages professional practice that is informed by empirical research. For this purpose, the National Council has approved the research project grant scheme (ARPG). The aim of the scheme is to fund applied research that can be used to inform and improve our members’ professional practice.

The fund can be used towards a stand-alone project or as part of an Australian Research Council Linkage grant, where AUSIT becomes a Linkage partner.
