We suggest that you download the app “Metromate”:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=au.gov.sa.metromate&hl=en_AU for Androids

https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/metromate-by-adelaide-metro/id1172725642?mt=8 for Apple gadgets.

There are numerous bus routes from the city servicing Flinders University, Bedford Park, including 719 and G40, but we advise you to plan your journey using either the “Metromate” app or the service "Plan your journey” https://adelaidemetro.com.au/planner/ on the Metro Adelaide website to determine which best suits your needs and which routes are operating at the time that you require.

If you are staying at Marion Motel and Apartments on Marion Road, the route you can use is a combination of M44 and G10. From Glenelg, you could take 300U, or a combination of tram and bus no G10.

Adelaide Metrocards offer cheaper travel fares on all forms of public transport and are available from Metrocard agents such as some newsagents and ticket vending machines. For extra information visit: https://adelaidemetro.com.au/Tickets-fares/metroCARD/Getting-a-metrocard.

Buses continue to run from the Flinders University, Bedford Park Interchange to the CBD in the evening. After the Conference Dinner on Friday 16 November, which finishes at 8.30 pm, a 200 bus leaves from zone A at 8.57 pm and a G10 leaves from zone B at 9.10 pm. Your “metromate” app will show you additional options for later departures.

Our real time digital signage is live and continues to make finding space more convenient, the CellOPark app now has a version of this information which has proved to be very helpful also.

Flinders University Languages Group Online Review (FLUGOR)

Flinders University and AUSIT (Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators) would like to announce that we have negotiated the publication of a special issue dealing with the 2018 AUSIT national conference theme “Intercultural Aspects of Translation, Interpreting and Communication” in the academic journal FULGOR (Flinders University Languages Group Online Review). This journal is a freely accessible, fully refereed international e-journal, published by the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, Flinders University.

We strongly encourage early career researchers and postgraduate students to consider this publication opportunity, even though we are open to everyone. The deadline for submission is 31 January 2019; email a full paper in English (no longer than 5,000 words) to tets.kimura@flinders.edu.au. The submitted papers will go through a double-blind peer review process. The special edition is scheduled to be published in the middle of 2019. The guidelines and sample references for FULGOR can be found in the following website.
