QLD190817 - AUSIT QLD AGM & PD EVENT

AUSIT QLD will be holding the 2019 QLD Branch Annual General Meeting pursuant to the provisions of Section 8.2.1 of the Constitution. We cordially invite all our members and observers are welcome.

The AGM will be preceded by a presentation by Sam Berner entitled “Research, Reflect and Plan – Working Smarter in the 21st Century”. Sam is a legal translator of decades of experience and with a long-standing involvement in AUSIT. She always presents a unique and stimulating point of view to the work of interpreters and translators.

Presentation summary:

Many freelancers, not just in the T/I profession, fall into the trap of believing that the only way to increase their income is to increase their billable hours. This can lead to serious burnout, and thus to zero billable hours. I would like to show your audience that there are smarter ways to work and that there is a system that can be followed. The environment in which we work is changing, and so should our approach to it. This presentation suits both translators and interpreters.

The AGM and Presentation are FREE events.

Please RSVP to our Branch Secretary Renata Olivera on qld@ausit.org to secure your place.
