About

Coming from a multicultural family, Karine has a strong interest in peoples, cultures and helping people connect through language. Karine holds a MA in Interpreting and Translation Studies (UNSW) where she trained as a conference interpreter to work overseas.

After returning to Australia in 2017, she continued her activities and obtained a Master of Research at Macquarie University in 2022. Karine has also developed workflows and trainings to support the community of practitioners and sits on the NAATI panel of French examiners while teaching T&I skills in postgraduate programs. She also plays an active volunteer role within AUSIT as the current Chair of the Victorian Branch.

Purpose and function of this information submission form.

This form enables you to report issues or problems that you encounter in the course of court interpreting assignments. These issues and problems will be collected by AUSIT to report to the JCCD (the Judicial Council on Cultural Diversity) to monitor the implementation of the Recommended National Standards. The reporting of these issues and problems enables AUSIT to work with the JCCD to suggest steps to address these issues and to avoid the repetition of these problems in the future.
