AUSIT Student Excellence Awards 2026

AUSIT NEWS

Each year, AUSIT invites its Educational Affiliate institutions to nominate up to four graduating students each, on the basis of academic merit, to receive AUSIT Student Excellence Awards (SEAs). Congratulations to this year’s 32 recipients (see below), who each receive a certificate – presented at their Annual Branch Meeting (ABM) – and are also entitled to view two AUSIT webinars free of charge. Three of this year’s recipients share the most valuable lessons they have learned as students:

Eiko Suzuki

Eiko Suzuki:

‘I’ve learned that translation and interpreting are not simply about replacing words. They are challenging yet enjoyable processes of understanding the intended meaning and conveying it effectively.’

Jordan James Przibilla:

‘To render meaning between languages requires intimate knowledge of each, and an understanding of the intentions and desires of authors and audiences that you may never meet. My understanding of the world is better for being a student of the discipline.’

Yubin Chen:
