What is AUSIT Engage?

AUSIT Engage is a dynamic and innovative online space that gives AUSIT members the opportunity to:

  • grow: learn, develop and contribute to our vibrant T&I community.

Calling for Volunteer Moderators

As part of our commitment to fostering vibrant discussions, AUSIT invites members to become Moderators on AUSIT Engage. Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Eligibility Criteria: To become a Moderator, you must have been an AUSIT member for at least two years.
  • Diverse Perspectives: We encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds, specialities and experiences to step forward.
  • Weekly Engagement: Moderators will actively participate in online discussions, engage with fellow members, and monitor forum behaviour.
  • Is Moderating Experience Needed? No. While it would come in useful, AUSIT Admin will provide initial support for new Moderators.

Why Become a Moderator?

  • Impact: Shape the conversations within our community.
  • Connect:  Network with peers, share insights, and learn from others.
  • Contribute: Help maintain a respectful and constructive environment.

What’s involved?

If you’d like to contribute to AUSIT, but don’t have much spare time or can’t commit to regular hours, this role is ideal: it’s very flexible and takes little time. We simply ask that you:

  • Check your designated forum on at least a weekly basis,
  • Contribute to the discussion, and
  • Liaise with AUSIT Admin if you have are any concerns about online behaviour.

for court interpreters to report incidents or issues that occur in court interpreting assignments.

Purpose and function of this information submission form.

This form enables you to report issues or problems that you encounter in the course of court interpreting assignments. These issues and problems will be collected by AUSIT to report to the JCCD (the Judicial Council on Cultural Diversity) to monitor the implementation of the Recommended National Standards. The reporting of these issues and problems enables AUSIT to work with the JCCD to suggest steps to address these issues and to avoid the repetition of these problems in the future.
