About

Carl Gene Fordham has established himself as a highly skilled and reputable NAATI-certified translator (Chinese into English) and interpreter (Mandarin and English).

In addition to his NAATI credentials, Carl holds a Master of Social Science (Translating and Interpreting Studies) degree from RMIT University, where he graduated with Distinction. He has also attained an HSK Level 6 Certificate, signifying his exceptional proficiency in Chinese, a language that he started learning at the age of ten.

With a fervent dedication to education, Carl has trained many of the next generation of translators and interpreters at esteemed institutions such as the University of Queensland, Beijing International Studies University and Beijing Foreign Studies University.

As National President, Carl envisions building a more financially sustainable association, while offering a clear value proposition to T&I practitioners. By strengthening partnerships with like-minded stakeholders, he aims to expand AUSIT’s influence to better serve the profession.

Purpose and function of this information submission form.

This form enables you to report issues or problems that you encounter in the course of court interpreting assignments. These issues and problems will be collected by AUSIT to report to the JCCD (the Judicial Council on Cultural Diversity) to monitor the implementation of the Recommended National Standards. The reporting of these issues and problems enables AUSIT to work with the JCCD to suggest steps to address these issues and to avoid the repetition of these problems in the future.
