About

Jessie is a NAATI-certified Chinese–English translator and holds a master’s degree in translation and interpreting. 

Since graduating from Macquarie University, Jessie has worked extensively across the healthcare and social sectors. She is also serving as a sessional interpreter (Mandarin and  Cantonese) for NSW Health and providing translating and interpreting services for a range of organisations and language service providers. 

Jessie became an ordinary member of AUSIT in 2018, later serving as an ACT Branch Committee member and PD Coordinator. 

Jessie is now embarking on the next stage of her professional journey, focusing on academic research in healthcare translation and inclusive communication in the CALD community.

Purpose and function of this information submission form.

This form enables you to report issues or problems that you encounter in the course of court interpreting assignments. These issues and problems will be collected by AUSIT to report to the JCCD (the Judicial Council on Cultural Diversity) to monitor the implementation of the Recommended National Standards. The reporting of these issues and problems enables AUSIT to work with the JCCD to suggest steps to address these issues and to avoid the repetition of these problems in the future.
