About

Qiusi (Echo) Zhang is a dedicated professional in the field of T&I. She holds a Master of Translation and Interpreting degree from UNSW, and NAATI certification as a translator and interpreter for English and Chinese (Mandarin).

Echo is actively involved in the language services community, currently serving as Chair of AUSIT’s Tasmanian Branch. She represented AUSIT and introduced the AUSIT Code of Ethics to the Southeast Asian Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (SAAPTI) in 2021. She also has rich experience as a trainer and assessor in the VET (vocational and educational training) industry, delivering qualifications in Advanced Diploma of Translating and Interpreting and Diploma of Interpreting and Translating, coupled with the development of training materials and packages. Since 2016, she has been committed to contributing to the training sector and community interpreting with a humble passion for the work.

Echo believes that quality language service plays a pivotal role in our multicultural society and in upholding people’s rights.

Purpose and function of this information submission form.

This form enables you to report issues or problems that you encounter in the course of court interpreting assignments. These issues and problems will be collected by AUSIT to report to the JCCD (the Judicial Council on Cultural Diversity) to monitor the implementation of the Recommended National Standards. The reporting of these issues and problems enables AUSIT to work with the JCCD to suggest steps to address these issues and to avoid the repetition of these problems in the future.
