About

Rosario Lázaro Igoa is a literary translator, writer and scholar of translation. She holds a PhD and Master’s in Translation Studies (UFSC, Brazil). Her research and publication agenda is in the areas of history of translation, literary translation and Latin American literature. Some of the authors Rosario has translated from Portuguese and English to Spanish are Danielle McLaughlin, Becky Manawatu, Gerald Murnane, Beatriz Bracher and Mário de Andrade. She has also published three fiction books. Rosario has lived in Australia since 2018 and is a NAATI-certified translator between English and Spanish. She started volunteering at AUSIT in 2021 in the NSW PD Committee, and later moved to the Communications Committee.

Purpose and function of this information submission form.

This form enables you to report issues or problems that you encounter in the course of court interpreting assignments. These issues and problems will be collected by AUSIT to report to the JCCD (the Judicial Council on Cultural Diversity) to monitor the implementation of the Recommended National Standards. The reporting of these issues and problems enables AUSIT to work with the JCCD to suggest steps to address these issues and to avoid the repetition of these problems in the future.
