About

Saeed has worked as a freelance translator and conference interpreter since 2001 and has taught English as a second language for 20 years. He is a NAATI Certified Translator between Persian and English and a Certified Provisional Interpreter. His other qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Education from UTAS and a BA and MA in English language studies and literature.
Saeed has been involved in the training of interpreters and translators since 2010. He joined AUSIT in 2016 and became a committee member of the TAS sub-branch in 2018. Since moving to Tasmania in 2016, he has been actively involved in the training of service providers, and has delivered frequent workshops for the Tasmanian Department of Health and the Magistrates Court of Tasmania in working with interpreters.

Purpose and function of this information submission form.

This form enables you to report issues or problems that you encounter in the course of court interpreting assignments. These issues and problems will be collected by AUSIT to report to the JCCD (the Judicial Council on Cultural Diversity) to monitor the implementation of the Recommended National Standards. The reporting of these issues and problems enables AUSIT to work with the JCCD to suggest steps to address these issues and to avoid the repetition of these problems in the future.
