Issa is a NAATI-accredited translator and interpreter with 15 years of experience, and holds a Master’s Diploma in Translation & Interpreting and a Master’s degree in Conference Interpreting from Macquarie University.
Issa’s career spans court and police interpreting, leading high-profile translation projects, and expertise in translation management and multicultural consultancy, driven by a commitment to community and social equity.
A NAATI examiner on the Certified Specialised Health Interpreter (CSHI) Panel, Issa is also a co-author of the AUSIT–FECCA guidelines for organisations engaging in translation of community communications.
As Vice President of Professional Development and Events, she is dedicated to curating high-quality PD opportunities and equipping the T&I workforce with skills to thrive in the AI era.
