Description

Ever wondered what a day in the life of a specialised legal interpreter, conference interpreter or in-house medical interpreter is like? Join us to hear from our panel members at this upcoming webinar organised by the AUSIT Student Committee.

This is the third and final webinar in our T&I Career Development Series; however, it is a stand-alone session and you do not need to have attended the previous two webinars to participate. Please note that Sessions 1 and 2 are not available as recordings or for purchase.

This event is not only for students – it is for anyone curious to hear from experienced legal, conference and medical interpreting practitioners.

In Session 3: Practice, our panel members will share their experiences, what led them into their areas of specialisation, and insights from working in their respective fields.

Our panel of experienced practitioners includes:

  • Silvia Martinez – Legal Interpreter (Spanish)
  • Isabelle Guinebault – Conference Interpreter (French)
  • David Le – Medical Interpreter (Vietnamese)

Session 3: Practice

Explore legal, medical and conference interpreting and take part in a live Q&A with our panel, designed to provide practical insights to help you thrive in the T&I profession.

Submission form

for court interpreters to report incidents or issues that occur in court interpreting assignments.

Purpose and function of this information submission form.

This form enables you to report issues or problems that you encounter in the course of court interpreting assignments. These issues and problems will be collected by AUSIT to report to the JCCD (the Judicial Council on Cultural Diversity) to monitor the implementation of the Recommended National Standards. The reporting of these issues and problems enables AUSIT to work with the JCCD to suggest steps to address these issues and to avoid the repetition of these problems in the future.
