Interpreter Feedback Form and Reports: experiences in courts and tribunals
While you’re at the conference, make the most of the chance to meet other people working in translation, interpreting and related industries at the two evening events. They are a great opportunity to network, make new contacts and friends, and socialise with colleagues and stakeholders from all around Australia.
This networking event with canapés and drinks is the conference’s first opportunity to meet up with colleagues, old friends and translation and interpreting industry stakeholders from around Australia.
This year the Welcome Reception will take place in the relaxed yet contemporary atmosphere of The Malt Shovel Taphouse, which has ‘breathtaking views of the iconic Adelaide Oval and the River Torrens’. You can read more about this prime Adelaide riverside venue here.
This photo from the 2024 Welcome Reception gives a good idea of what to expect.

The Conference Dinner is the peak networking/social event of Australia’s T&I industry. The formal 3-course dinner and drinks will be accompanied by entertainment (details TBC) plus presentation of the biennial Paul Sinclair Award for Outstanding Contribution to AUSIT,* followed – for those who like to party on (we know that some of you do, we’ve got the photos from past years!) – by a DJ set which will, as always, suit a wide variety of tastes and ages.
This year’s event will be held in the National Wine Centre of Australia’s elegant Hickinbotham Hall. You can read more about this architecturally remarkable venue here.
For a better idea of what you can expect, check out some moments captured last year in Canberra, in Melbourne in 2024 and in Sydney in 2023 (left).
As the Hall is located at the main conference venue, the National Wine Centre, we don’t need to tell you how to get there – just remember to bring your glad rags along in the morning if you don’t intend to go back to your accommodation and change for dinner!

for court interpreters to report incidents or issues that occur in court interpreting assignments.
Purpose and function of this information submission form.
This form enables you to report issues or problems that you encounter in the course of court interpreting assignments. These issues and problems will be collected by AUSIT to report to the JCCD (the Judicial Council on Cultural Diversity) to monitor the implementation of the Recommended National Standards. The reporting of these issues and problems enables AUSIT to work with the JCCD to suggest steps to address these issues and to avoid the repetition of these problems in the future.
